WhiteGlove House Call Health

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: What does Whiteglove House Call Health do?

Answer: We deliver routine medical care and more to the home and workplace, 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm. Whiteglove House Call Health is redefining what routine medical care means by delivering an industry changing experience based on: 1) Quality - we give you the time and attention you deserve, 2) Cost - we lower your out-of-pocket expenses and reduce your claims, and 3) Convenience - we come to you and bring you everything you need. Our service gives you the ability to: schedule a visit over the web or phone, fill-out all your paperwork in advance on-line, be diagnosed, tested, and treated quickly and conveniently, at home or work, have foods, beverages, and medications delivered to you, receive prompt follow-up calls, have your insurance claims filed for you, and know exactly what it all costs. A routine medical care experience focused on you and available on your terms.

Question: Are you trying to replace my primary care physician?

Answer: No, not necessarily. For those that have a primary care physician, we augment the care that you receive from your regular physician. And, of course, you are able to share your medical records that we capture with your primary care physician. However, for many, we have replaced their primary care physician because of the experience we offer. If you do not have a primary care physician or they are not available when it's convenient for you, we are available 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm within 2 hours of contacting us to get-well. The truth is that if it is early mornings or late afternoon during the week or over the weekend, you are unlikely to be able to see your primary care physician in a timely manner. So, we are a new choice for you. There is no need to spend a fortune seeking routine care at a emergency room or urgent care center and wait forever. Just call us and we will come to you and save you time and money!

Question: How much does it cost to use your service?

Answer: Actually far less that what you are spending today. A simple routine medical visit costs you between $80 and $100 in out-of-pocket expenses when you tallying up your co-pays, gas, parking, child care, foods, beverages, over-the-counter remedies, etc. And this does not include all the time you waste or hassles you tolerate. With Whiteglove, we lower your out-of-pocket expenses by 25%-40% per visit. No more out-of-pocket expense on gas, parking, foods, beverages, and over-the-counter remedies to begin to mend - we bring everything you need to you. And, we eliminate the wasted time and hassles that you experience today. To receive this kind of experience, you must be a member. We have a variety of memberships that range from $35 per month to $100 per month (see membership page for more details). For Humana insured, the membership is free.

Question: Who really benefits from your service?

Answer: There are three constituents that benefit greatly. First, our members do. They receive a higher quality routine care experience at lower cost and with no hassles. Secondly, businesses benefit. We are able to show that we can reduce the number of business disruptions caused by employees missing work with routine care needs (for themselves or dependents), reduce the wasted wages spent having employees running around to the doctor's office, diagnostic labs, grocery stores, and pharmacies, and reduce the overall healthcare and health insurance costs to the business. And lastly, insurance companies benefit by paying lower claims. 70% of all the visits we do are keeping our members out of urgent care centers and emergency rooms for routine medical care.

Question: Is your service covered by insurance?

Answer: We are not able to tell you what will or will not be covered by your health insurance plan. But, we will file your insurance claim for you. In general, our $35 visit fee is an out-of-network fee, except with Humana insured. For Humana insured, we are an in-network provider and you pay us your applicable in-network specialist co-pay. All labs and medications will be run through your health insurance plan with all insurance companies, if you have coverage, and those expenses will be covered in the same way they are today.

Question: Do you accept insurance?

Answer: When you become a member, we ask you to give us your health insurance information. We will file any health insurance claims for you, payment payable to you. Again, all labs and medications will be run through your health insurance plan, if you have coverage, and those expenses will be covered in the same way they are today.

Question: Will Whiteglove be in the network for any of the major insurance companies?

Answer: Yes. With Humana at this time. Over time, we will intend to have business relationships with the other major insurance companies as well.

Question: If I am insured with Humana, do I still pay a membership fee?

Answer: No. You simply pay your applicable in-network specialist co-pays and receive the same exceptional experience as all other members.

Question: Do I need to have health insurance to use your service?

Answer: If you have health insurance, that is fine, we work with all of them. If you do not, that is fine too, we just bill you directly.

Question: Is Whiteglove House Call Health licensed to provide care in the State of Texas?

Answer: Yes we are. We are a licensed agency with the Department of Aging and Disability Services.

Question: Is this service covered by Medicare and/or Medicaid?

Answer: No.

Question: How does the membership fee relate to the cost of a visit?

Answer: It doesn't. The membership fee entitles you to have us:

  • Send healthcare professionals to your home or workplace, 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm,
  • Deliver well-kits with foods, beverages, and over-the-counter remedies,
  • Order and deliver over-the-counter and prescription medications,
  • File health insurance claims for you, and
  • Provide secure web access to your medical information with Whiteglove.

The cost of the visit and any lab work is separate from the membership fee and its benefits. The membership entitles you receive the ultra convenient, lowest cost, and highest quality medical care available today.

Question: Do you know the results of the lab tests during the visit?

Answer: For many of the lab tests performed, we will. However, some of the lab tests will require a lab to process them. For those lab tests that are not available during the visit, the results will be available via the web within days.

Question: How does your visit fee compare to other alternatives?

Answer: In general, the cost to receive care from Whiteglove House Call Health should be less expensive than most alternatives. Our $35 visit fee is less than most walk-in clinics or emergency room visit fees. In addition, our lab fees are very competitively priced.

Question: Is my medical information secure and is it shared with anyone?

Answer: We have used best practices to secure all medical information captured. In addition, all transmission of information to you via the web occurs in a secure manner. You may share your information with others. We will NOT be sharing your information with anyone, unless you direct us to.

Question: Is pediatric medicine included in your scope of care?

Answer: Yes, we will see any child over the age of 2.

Question: Who are the healthcare professionals providing the service?

Answer: We have a team of healthcare professionals made up of physicians and nurse practitioners. The $35 visit fee covers care provided by a nurse practitioner in collaboration with a physician. You may request a physician to come to your home or workplace for a $150 visit fee.

Question: Does the nurse practitioner communicate with the patient's regular doctor(s) to get past history, medications, etc. so that treatment is coordinated?

Answer: First, like any other care provider, we require every patient to complete an extensive medical history. Unlike most other providers, we capture your medical history on-line via the web. This allows you to update it at anytime and share it with other providers.

Question: Why the name Whiteglove House Call Health?

Answer: The Company was founded to change the way patients are treated. Unlike the frustrating, time consuming, and impersonal experience associated with routine care today, we really wanted our patients to feel like they were getting "whiteglove" treatment. We are offering the lowest cost, highest quality, most convenient medical care available.

Question: Do we have to pay for your travel to us?

Answer: No. As a member, one of the privileges you enjoy is having us come to your home or workplace.

Answer: The term for all memberships is one year from date of enrollment. Each membership term automatically renews each year unless cancelled one month prior to your enrollment date.
