William Rice, M.D., Founder and Chief Medical Officer

William Rice, M.D. is a physician who uniquely combines his background in clinical medicine with entrepreneurial endeavors. Dr. Rice has participated in the formation and initial work of a number of early stage healthcare companies. Most recently, he was the first full-time physician involved in the development of RevolutionHealth, a Steve Case (founder of AOL) company focused on the consumer healthcare space whose board includes Colin Powell, Jim Barksdale, and Carly Fiorina. He holds a patent for a system and method to optimize the care of chronic disease patients and has recently written a book entitled "American Health Care 2008, Opportunities for Disruptive Improvement". As the founding chairman and CEO of Stat Healthcare, Dr. Rice built one of the largest physician management companies in the US and managed the business from inception to public offering.
